EHS Consultancy Manager / Technical Safety Lead

• Prepare high-quality proposals and tenders to support business growth.
• Provide senior consultancy and technical safety support to clients across a range of industries.
• Lead client relationship management and contribute to consultancy business development.
• Oversee team growth, mentoring of graduate and junior team members, recruitment and performance reviews.
• Deliver professional training services as required.
• Lead and manage a team of Safety Engineers and Professionals based in Cork and Dublin.
• Represent Occupli at industry seminars, conferences and client forums.
• Hold commercial responsibility for the department, including delivery against targets, utilisation and quality standards.

This role is based in our Cork office. The position requires national and international travel to meet client and project needs.

A full Irish driving license is essential.

We are seeking a highly experienced EHS Consultancy Manager / Technical Safety Lead to take a senior leadership role within our consultancy department. This is a high-profile position requiring strong technical expertise, commercial awareness and proven leadership skills. The successful candidate will manage a growing team of safety professionals, oversee technical project delivery and drive business development initiatives.

• Team-oriented mindset with mentoring capabilities.
• A third level qualification in Engineering, Science or other relevant area.
• Certified Machinery Safety Expert qualified.
• Functional Safety Expert (Safety Integrity Level Certification) competed.
• IT literacy and financial acumen.
• Strong technical safety knowledge with demonstrated experience in applied engineering safety solutions.
• Strong leadership and people management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal ability.
• Higher Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety / NEBOSH Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety or similar.
• Membership (or in the process of becoming Chartered) with IOSH, IFE or Engineers Ireland.
• Exposure to diverse projects across multiple global markets.
• Explosion Safety Management / ATEX-related qualifications.
• Fire Safety related technical training or qualifications.
• Professional membership
• A minimum of 10 years’ experience in senior technical, management or leadership roles within engineering and/or EHS.
