While performing the duties of this job, the employee will primarily work outdoors in inclement weather and on challenging terrain, with occasional work in the office, sometimes for 8-hour days.

You may be asked to provide proof of your status as a Sealaska shareholder, shareholder descendant, or shareholder spouse.
Must be able to perform computer-based tasks and processing for up to 8 hours, including sitting or standing, mousing, interacting with information on a computer monitor.
Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
Must be able to lift and carry or otherwise move 35 pounds regularly over slippery, wet, and uneven ground.
Ability to meet deadlines.

Strong critical thinking and research skills

Able to both collaborate with a team and work independently.

Benefits
This internship will mostly take place Wrangell, Alaska with occasional boat travel to access remote field sites where either vehicles or UTVs will be used for transportation. Vehicles are the primary mode of transportation on island.
