- Coordinate with internal teams, clients, and external agencies as needed.
- Perform field visits to collect data, conduct site assessments, and verify existing conditions.
The Distribution Engineering Technician supports the design and development of overhead and underground electric distribution projects. This role works closely with engineers, field personnel, and utility clients to ensure accurate, efficient, and timely completion of distribution design packages.
Utilize GIS, AutoCAD, and/or other design software to create construction drawings and design packages.
- Assist engineers in the design of overhead and underground electric distribution systems (typically up to 35kV).
- Interpret and apply utility standards, construction specifications, and permitting requirements.
- Support project schedules and meet deliverable deadlines.
- Maintain a strong commitment to safety and quality in all aspects of the work.
- Ensure project documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant with applicable standards.
