The Laboratory Technician supports the analysis of hazardous and non‑hazardous waste to determine proper treatment and disposal. The role utilizes a variety of analytical techniques and instruments to generate accurate results.
Key duties include maintaining the laboratory environment, calibrating and operating instrumentation, collecting and preparing samples, and documenting results with precision. The technician also performs fingerprinting of waste samples, prepares standards, conducts quality‑control calculations, and ensures glassware cleanliness, while completing required Initial and annual Demonstrations of Capability for each method.
Candidates should have a basic understanding of chemistry principles, waste processing protocols, and laboratory maintenance practices. The position requires attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to collaborate with team members and managers. A related technical education or experience is required.
The hourly pay range is $18.90 to $26.02, adjusted for local minimum wage rates. Employees are eligible for a bonus plan and a comprehensive benefits package.
