The Integrated Systems Technician role in Springfield, Virginia, involves planning, directing, and coordinating installation and service activities for a wide range of systems such as fire alarms, intrusion detection, access control, CCTV, networking, and specialty audio/visual equipment. The technician will also participate in inspections, oversee repairs, testing, and project completion, often supervising subordinate personnel.
Key responsibilities include analyzing installation requirements, conducting tests and inspections, operating industry‑specific tools, diagnosing complex problems, implementing corrective actions, and improving system performance. The technician must communicate effectively with coworkers, supervisors, vendors, and site personnel, manage and delegate work, adhere to risk‑management and safety protocols, and handle emergencies, delays, or site incidents professionally.

Candidates must have at least one year of experience installing commercial integrated systems, strong attention to detail, the ability to read electrical plans and follow written and verbal instructions with minimal supervision, reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license, and the capacity to pass background checks. On‑call rotation may be required, and a desire for specialized system experience is a plus.
