- Contribute to the development and refinement of autonomous system architectures, with a working understanding of autonomy principles.
- Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, and technical documentation.
- Provide cross-disciplinary support to mechanical, electrical, and software engineering teams.
- Collaborate with electrical and software teams to ensure seamless system-level integration.
- Lead the structural design and development of UUV platforms, including composite and metallic structures.
- Support FEA modeling and simulation using tools such as ANSYS to validate structural integrity under operational conditions.

- Master’s degree in composites or structural engineering is a strong plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- Ability to support and collaborate across departments.
- Familiarity with autonomy systems and their integration into UUV platforms.
- 5+ years of experience in UUV or underwater systems development.
- Experience in DoD or maritime defense programs.
- Hands-on experience with prototype testing and validation.
- Knowledge of system engineering processes and lifecycle development.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with customers and stakeholders.
- Experience with ANSYS or similar simulation tools.
- Proven expertise in structural mechanics, including composite materials and FEA.
