The analyst will calibrate and align lidar sensors, using both mainstream commercial suites (e.g., Bayesmap StripAlign, TerraSolid) and vendor‑specific tools (e.g., Optech LMS, Riegl RiProcess). Responsibilities include processing airborne or mobile trajectories, extracting raw lidar data, performing relative and absolute adjustments, and conducting rigorous QA/QC to meet accuracy standards. Findings must be documented and communicated to project managers and technical staff. The role also requires creating digital mapping products, managing databases, and handling elevation data.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field and has at least two years of GIS/remote‑sensing experience. Required expertise includes lidar data extraction, swath alignment, elevation model creation, and deep knowledge of ESRI software; familiarity with Terrascan and the PLTS toolkit is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office and strong verbal and written communication skills are essential. A valid driver’s license with a clean record and the ability to pass a background check are also required.
