A surveyor usually carries out some tasks independently, with minimum supervision, and these may be on well-identified, or isolated assets, or on complex installations. The surveyor may act in any field of the relevant Division.
The Engineer shall perform various technical audits and control services including specialised studies, expert studies.
Report immediately in case the PPE is worn off or lost.
Actively participates in the sharing of knowledge and information (Knowledge Management)
Participate in products development and dissemination in his field(s) of expertise
Use appropriate PPE at work area and be aware of:
Participates in execution of the missions, alone or within a project team
Maintain personal work areas tidy and hazard free and report any deviation/fault/hazard immediately to the location manager/line manager/supervisor
Regularly monitor customer satisfaction.
Maintain regular job-related contact with clients.
The Electrical Engineer performs quality inspection/condition assessment (may be called surveys, monitoring or examination) of electrical installation and commissioning, ELV & FLS systems, products..etc., to determine their conformity with specified reference requirements (standards, specifications, regulation, etc.).
Inspection done within the allocated timeframe
Report immediately any HSE incident and cooperate in investigation
Complete requirements for appropriate professional trainings in specified time frames.
Report immediately any newly identified hazard and participate in devising suitable operational control to eliminate/minimize the pertinent risk.
As a guidance for his mission, he shall be able to advise on the following:
The Engineer shall carry out within the frame of conformity assessment services, technical audit, consultancy services, outsourcing, due diligence, etc.
Contributes to project reporting
Prepare technical aspects of tenders (related to his field of competencies), including but not limited to :
Liaises with client, designer and/or project manager
Assists in commercial actions in order to link client’s needs and Bureau Veritas’ services
Manages (if required) review phase of the project, as per scope of work and Bureau Veritas/client quality system

The Engineer will have enough experience in the installation and commissioning of electrical, ELV and FLS systems especially buildings to be capable of technical expertise. In addition he should posses’ good knowledge of construction technology and building procedures and worked on various construction materials including finishing works.
