The Senior Power Systems Engineer will join the Transmission & Distribution team, focusing on grid‑connection services for utility‑scale renewable energy projects across the UK and Ireland. The role involves delivering detailed studies, supporting electrical design, and leading medium to large‑scale projects.

Conduct detailed power system and grid code compliance studies using PowerFactory, PSCAD, and PSS/E.
Perform grid connection due diligence, including prospecting, optioneering, risk, and capacity assessments.
Execute power system studies for industrial projects such as water treatment plants.
Support electrical design delivery through power system analyses.
Lead medium to large scale projects and mentor entry‑level engineers.
Drive business process improvements and prepare bids/proposals.
Liaise with OEMs and clients to achieve technical outcomes.
Perform compliance studies including steady‑state, harmonic, dynamic, and SSO analyses.

Possess experience in engineering design consultancy, OEM, or utility network planning and connections.
Demonstrate strong knowledge of UK Grid Code, G99, G5/5, P28, and familiarity with Ireland Grid Code.
Proficient in PSCAD, PowerFactory, and Python scripting; experience with PSS/E and ETAP is desirable.
Understand control and protection principles of high‑voltage substation equipment, transmission lines, generators, and transformers.
Experience with NESO/DNO/TO review processes for compliance study submissions.
Exhibit exceptional written and oral communication skills.
