We’re seeking a Fragrance Evaluator — someone who can smell the invisible, interpret the emotional, and bring olfactory imagination to life. As the in-house sensory specialist, you will be the guardian of scent quality, personality, and consistency across the Contraband line. You'll collaborate with perfumers, chemists, creatives, and marketers to ensure every bottle lives up to our rebellious promise.

This role is for someone who understands that a top note is an entrance, a base note is a memory, and the space in between is where magic happens.

We create perfumes that turn heads. Now, we’re looking for someone with a nose sharp enough to lead that charge.

  • Strong documentation and communication skills: you can describe a scent better than a poet.
  • Deep knowledge of fragrance families, raw materials, and how a scent evolves on skin, fabric, and time.
  • A creative side — maybe you write, design, or just appreciate the art of scent storytelling.
  • Passion for craftsmanship and a bold, Contraband-style aesthetic.
  • Experience with IFRA standards, allergen regulations, or global fragrance compliance.
  • 5+ years of experience in fragrance evaluation, sensory science, or perfumery (preferably in luxury, niche, or premium fragrance).
  • Exposure to perfume formulation, raw material sourcing, or QC testing.
  • Worked with or trained under a fragrance house or niche brand.
