Primary duties include delivering large or multiple projects on time, within budget, and according to contract documents. The Senior Project Manager applies proven project management techniques to reduce costs and add value, leads teams and acts as a liaison to internal departments, and plans, organizes, and directs design staff and key field positions. They oversee design execution and construction, interface with clients to meet expectations, ensure project safety, and participate in corporate initiatives that support company goals.
Additional responsibilities involve assessing project requirements, recommending sound approaches, and ensuring deliverables meet schedule and requirements. The role monitors costs, budgets, schedules, and staffing, enhances project quality, establishes metrics, creates communication plans, conducts status meetings, and supervises assigned staff.
Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Mechanical Engineering or a related field, be a Texas‑registered Professional Engineer, and possess at least 15 years of experience designing and constructing water and wastewater facilities or infrastructure. Experience with municipalities and utilities, strong leadership, oral and written communication, planning, teamwork, decision‑making, judgment, problem‑solving, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and engineering software are required.
