Complete all assigned trainings.
Provide leadership for engineering tasks including collecting, compiling, and analyzing data from the physical work site, survey data, technical reports and drawings, and or other data matrices for project development, design, and construction.
Create simplified and advanced computer structural analytical finite element models, for design of fixed and floating marine structures, subject to gravity and live loads, operational and environmental loads, and seismic loads.
Write technical reports, generating complete and concise documentation of findings, using sketches, calculations, excel spreadsheets, technical drawings, and other engineering software (including SAP2000 and similar FEM tools).
Apply higher-order engineering techniques/practices to develop project design requirements, while incorporating marine-practice engineering standards and specifications. This includes identifying project site, design and construction related risks and providing mitigation solutions.
A member of and/or actively participate in local professional practice organizations.
Lead cross-functional teams to execute project work on a mid-level project and/or multiple concurrent smaller projects. This includes working collaboratively with other engineers and larger multi-disciplinary teams, on Federal, State, regional, and locally funded improvement and development projects. Tasks include tracking budgets, and progress of milestone activities, as well supporting completion of Plans, Specifications and Estimate (PS&E) submissions.
Prepare design documentation of individual structural components including steel and concrete (both cast-in-place and precast/prestressed concrete systems) deep foundation systems as well as substructure and superstructure elements.
Prepare project task budgets and schedules for review.
Prepare and give presentations to communicate findings and recommendations to internal and external team members as well as clients.
