The Wind Turbine Traveling Composite Technician (Composite Repair) conducts inspection and corrective repair of composite wind turbine generator components, travelling 100 % of the time. The role involves sanding, cleaning, cutting, and lay‑up of fiberglass, carbon fiber and resin on blades, nacelles and other composite parts, with opportunities for signing bonuses up to $6,500, quarterly performance bonuses, a company vehicle, and advanced career development training.
- Evaluate, inspect, diagnose, and document internal and external composite damage on wind turbine components, including photography.
- Perform coating and structural repairs on composite structures such as blades and nacelles using fiberglass, carbon fiber, and resin.
- Modify and repair composite materials, execute Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO) procedures, and interpret engineering drawings and lamination schedules.
- Coordinate with site leadership and engineering support to meet contractual obligations and execute non‑standard repairs.
- Maintain a weight between 120‑280 lb (including clothing and boots) for OSHA compliance.
- Work in indoor or outdoor conditions, including adverse weather, pollen, dust, and grasses.

- Hold GWO certification or obtain it through Pearce’s training program.
- Minimum 3 years of experience working with composite materials.
- Proven technical and team leadership skills, including supervised composite blade damage assessment.
- Experience with lightning‑damage tip, carbon blade tip, and multi‑shell tip replacement.
- Skilled in internal and external adhesive bonding and repairing leading‑edge and trailing‑edge cracks.
- Knowledge of mix ratios for composite repair chemicals and ability to read electrical schematics.
- Ability and willingness to climb wind turbines up to 300 ft vertically.
- Lift and move equipment weighing more than 50 lb.
