Description
requirements analysis
solution architecture
web development
tool customization
integration development
deployment support
The engineer performs detailed analysis of customer business needs, creates “as‑is” and “to‑be” process documentation, and identifies gaps and metrics. They research industry best practices and design patterns, develop functional, performance, security, and usability requirements, and define conceptual solution architectures using both COTS and custom components. Based on the selected architecture, they produce feature specifications, lead the development of web‑based applications, extend tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence, and build integrations. Collaboration with QA ensures functional and performance testing, while the engineer also handles configuration, deployment, and escalation‑level support after go‑live.
- Analyze customer business needs and operational requirements for workflow and reporting solutions.
- Produce “as‑is” and “to‑be” process documentation, identify metrics, and document gaps.
- Research industry best practices, design patterns, and applicable technologies.
- Define functional, performance, security, usability, and maintainability requirements.
- Design conceptual solution architectures and evaluate COTS vs. custom components.
- Create feature specifications and lead development of enterprise web applications.
- Extend and customize COTS tools such as Atlassian Jira and Confluence.
- Develop integrations using advanced tools and technologies.
- Collaborate with QA to establish functional and performance testing strategies.
- Configure applications, execute deployment plans, and provide escalation‑level post‑deployment support.
- Lift and carry objects up to 50 lb and operate a 12‑ft stepladder unaided.
- Work safely at heights up to 60 ft on scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks, and ladders.
- Perform routine physical activities such as climbing, squatting, crawling, and reaching overhead.

The minimum requirement is a Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, Electronics or a related field plus five years of relevant experience. The role demands physical capabilities such as lifting up to 50 lb, operating a 12‑ft stepladder, working at heights up to 60 ft, and performing routine climbing, squatting, crawling, and reaching tasks. Candidates must have good vision and hearing, be able to work extended periods at a computer, and possess fine motor dexterity, strong communication skills, and the ability to apply general rules to solve problems.
- Hold a Master’s degree in a relevant field and at least five years of solution engineering experience.
- Maintain good vision (corrected acceptable), color perception, and clear English communication.
- Sustain prolonged computer screen exposure and seated work periods.
- Exhibit fine finger dexterity for keyboard use and strong verbal and written communication skills.
