3D Modeling & Drafting Engineer – Gas Turbine Auxiliary Systems

Develop 3D CAD models & drawings for gas turbine auxiliary equipment
Work closely with mechanical, piping, structural, and electrical teams for equipment integration.
Generate Bill of Materials (BOMs) and maintain CAD data management in PLM systems.
Prepare manufacturing drawings, general arrangement (GA) drawings, P&ID-based layouts, and detailed fabrication drawings.
Support design engineers in developing concepts into detailed engineering deliverables.
Ensure drawings and models are in line with ASME, ISO, and company standards.
Develop 3D CAD models of gas turbine auxiliary equipment, piping, and structural components using industry-standard tools (e.g., Open plant, MicroStation, SolidWorks, NX, AutoCAD, Inventor, Creo, or similar).
Participate in design reviews, clash detection, and model validation.
Incorporate supplier/vendor data into models and drawings for auxiliary skids, pumps, valves, filters, and other equipment.
Ensure adherence to quality, cost, and timeline requirements for project deliverables.
Provide support during fabrication, assembly, and installation by clarifying drawing queries.
Perform routing of piping, ducts, and cabling ensuring proper space management, accessibility, and maintainability.

Understanding of fabrication, welding, machining, and assembly processes.
Bachelors degree in Mechanical engineering, or related field.
37 years of experience in 3D modeling and drafting for turbomachinery, auxiliary equipment, or heavy engineering projects.
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., Open plant, MicroStation,NX, SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, AutoCAD Plant 3D).
Experience with PLM/PDM systems (Teamcenter, Windchill, or equivalent) is a plus.
Strong knowledge of GD&T, tolerances, and drafting practices.
Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to produce error-free drawings.
Familiarity with gas turbine systems, piping design, skid-mounted equipment, and rotating machinery auxiliaries.
Exposure to gas turbine or power plant projects preferred.
Good communication skills to coordinate with cross-functional and global teams.
Knowledge of international codes & standards (ASME, API, ISO, DIN).
