Network Engineer

Description

• Ensure network stability and performance through proactive monitoring and maintenance.
• Analyse network performance and implement optimization strategies.
• Identify and resolve network bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Design and execute test plans for new network features and enhancements.
• Implement automated testing frameworks to improve testing efficiency and coverage.
• Manage and troubleshoot Cisco ACI and IP routing infrastructure.
• Validate network configurations and changes to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python to streamline network operations.

Requirements

We are seeking a skilled IP Networking QA Engineer to join our Quality Assurance team within the IP Networking division of a leading Mobile Network Operator (MNO). The successful candidate will be responsible for ACI and routing operations, feature validation, network optimization, and automation.

Preferred CCIE, or relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP

• Hands-on experience with network testing tools (e.g., Wireshark, Ixia, Spirent) and network management systems.
• Familiarity with network security principles and practices.
• Process Knowledge:
• Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash) for test automation.
• 10-12 years of experience in IP networking and Quality Assurance
• Strong knowledge of IP networking concepts, including routing, switching, VLANs and VPNs.
• Understanding of FCAP (Fault, Configuration, Accounting, Performance Management) and ITIL processes.
• Proficiency in network protocols such as BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, and TCP/IP. Encapsulation protocol like VXLAN and Control plane protocol like EVPN to build highly scalable IP fabric.
