The Field Ops Lead is an onsite field lead responsible for executing emergency response and environmental remediation projects at client sites. They serve as the main point of contact in the field, reporting daily activities and concerns to the manager, while ensuring project scopes are met with strict adherence to health, safety, and regulatory standards. This role also reviews field tasks, develops safety procedures, and validates subcontractor training and certifications.
Key responsibilities include assisting the project manager with scope development, safety requirements, waste characterization, shipping, and documentation for field projects. The Lead supervises field work to ensure safety and compliance, coordinates with purchasing agents to obtain pricing and develop budgets, creates and tracks purchase orders, and compiles essential paperwork such as safety meeting records, vendor receipts, manifests, and calibration logs. They schedule subcontractors, obtain required certifications and health‑safety plans, maintain company‑owned equipment, develop maintenance schedules, drive company vehicles, implement technical solutions, and provide performance feedback or fill in for workers as needed.
Preferred qualifications encompass knowledge of personnel management, operations, equipment, waste processing, recycling techniques, purchasing processes, special licenses, and DOT training. Candidates must demonstrate accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize and handle multiple responsibilities. A valid driver’s license is required, and a special license such as a CDL may be needed. Minimum qualifications include at least two years of related experience.
Compensation ranges from $33.65 to $46.25 per hour, varying by locality, and includes eligibility for a comprehensive benefits package. Employees can participate in medical, dental, vision, health‑care and dependent‑care spending accounts, short‑ and long‑term disability, life and accidental death insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, discount programs, a 401(k) with company match, an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, and paid time off.
