Conduct regular equipment rounds, operational checks, and minor adjustments to verify proper system performance and identify developing issues.
Maintain accurate operating logs that record system parameters, equipment conditions, and any abnormalities encountered during the shift.
Monitor and record operating parameters such as temperature, vibration, pressures, flows, and fluid levels using installed instruments, handheld tools, or digital monitoring systems.
Complete assigned preventive maintenance tasks and basic corrective work with accuracy, attention to detail, and adherence to plant safety and operating procedures.
Assist in troubleshooting mechanical equipment by identifying symptoms and supporting more advanced technicians or supervisors in problem resolution.
Enter work requests into the CMMS, document equipment deficiencies, and record maintenance activities and parts used to support accurate tracking of plant maintenance.
Perform routine startup, shutdown, and normal operation of combined cycle plant systems, including the Siemens V64.3 combustion turbine, Deltak HRSG, Ansaldo steam turbine, and associated balance-of-plant equipment.
Assist with preparing equipment for service or maintenance by performing lockout and tagout steps, isolations, basic disassembly, cleaning, and inspection tasks under direction.
Support maintenance activities by assisting with inspections, lubrication tasks, gasket or filter replacements, component adjustments, and other hands-on mechanical work appropriate to a mid-level skill set.
Operate auxiliary systems such as air compressors, lubrication systems, cooling water equipment, fuel handling systems, and water treatment equipment including RO and demineralized water systems.
Perform visual inspections and listen to equipment during rounds to detect leaks, unusual noises, excessive vibration, or other early signs of mechanical issues, and escalate findings appropriately.
Recognize abnormal or unsafe operating conditions and promptly report them to the Control Room Operator or supervisor. Take basic corrective actions within established procedures.
Carry out additional duties assigned by the Plant Manager or senior operations staff to support reliable and safe operation of the facility.
