Construction Contract Administrator - Western Canada District

Administer construction contracts from award to closeout on heavy civil projects
Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies.
Review, interpret, and administer construction contracts to ensure compliance with terms, conditions, and company policies.
Assist in negotiating contract modifications, claims, and dispute resolutions in coordination with project leadership and legal counsel.
Provide guidance to project teams on contract requirements, risks, and obligations.
Assist with contract closeout, including final documentation, releases, and compliance certifications.
Support the preparation and review of subcontract agreements and purchase orders to align with prime contract requirements.
Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required.
Coordinate with the estimating and engineering teams during pre-bid and pre-award phases to identify contractual risks and requirements.
Maintain organized contract records, correspondence, amendments, and change orders.
Prepare and maintain contract-related reports for project management and corporate leadership.
Track key contractual milestones, deliverables, and deadlines.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with project management or contract management software preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, or related field.

Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment
Knowledge of contract law, construction practices, and risk management principles.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
5+ years in construction with 3+ years of experience in contract administration, preferably in heavy civil, infrastructure, or industrial construction.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
