Plan, coordinate and conduct investigation programs including drilling, test pitting, and installation of monitoring / test wells.
Interpret hydrogeological field data including borehole logs, slug tests, and pumping tests.Provide technical oversight during construction and dewatering activities.
Work as part of an interdisciplinary field and office project team to achieve hydrogeological project objectives for various sites.
Participate in contaminant hydrogeology projects.
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and applicable Regulations, Standards, and Guidelines.
Prepare hydrogeological assessments, water balance studies, and well interference analysis reports.Work collaboratively and communicate effectively with the project team.
Design and conduct field programs to map hydrogeological features, geological logging, and installation of groundwater /surface water instrumentation.
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting senior professionals in a wide variety of physical hydrogeology projects.
Data analysis, compilation and evaluation of hydraulic test results, interpretation of groundwater chemical results.
Work will include wide range of groundwater investigations, dewatering projects, well testing, environmental impact assessments, hydrogeological assessments, water supply work, groundwater modeling and regulatory compliance projects across Ontario.
Design and implement field investigations including groundwater investigations, water sampling, slug/bail and pumping tests, groundwater/surface water sampling.
Map and interpret surficial geological and hydrogeological features.

Previous project coordination/management experience is preferred.
5-10 years of practical experience in hydrogeology in Ontario.
Diverse experience in hydrogeological field work should include surface and groundwater monitoring and sampling procedures, drilling and installation of pumping wells and observation wells in bedrock and overburden, taking sampling notes, preparing borehole logs, conducting and analyzing permeability and pumping tests.
Detail-oriented and ability to work independently in the office and in the field.
Positive attitude, teamwork and problem-solving skills are essential.
A valid Ontario driver’s license with own vehicle and ability to conduct field work.
Working knowledge of applicable environmental laws and regulations in the Province of Ontario is required.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Hydrogeology, Geoscience, Earth Sciences, Geological or Environmental Engineering is essential.
Active P.Geo. license in good standing with Professional Geoscientists Ontario (PGO).
Strong report writing and communication skills are required. The ability to write professional technical reports is paramount.
Strong knowledge of Ontario regulatory frameworks (MECP, Conservation Authorities).
Consulting experience is required.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience with common groundwater and other relevant software (eg: MODFLOW, AquiferTest, ArcGIS, AutoCAD, and ACCESS). Experience in numerical modeling of hydrogeological problems using a range of groundwater modeling tools is an asset.
