The Senior Project Controls Manager, based full‑time on site in Wilson, NC, enables project success by delivering timely knowledge, forecasting deviations, and guiding risk‑based decisions to keep schedules and budgets on track. This role serves as a subject‑matter expert in at least one core control discipline such as cost control, scheduling, or risk management.
Key responsibilities include providing the full suite of project controls services—capital planning, portfolio governance, project set‑up, construction technology, procure‑to‑pay, cost and commercial management, schedule control, risk management, and project close‑out. The manager collaborates with clients to develop funding documents, set up coding structures, generate governance reports, and ensure smooth information flow for efficient execution.
The position requires a growing technical competency across the project controls spectrum, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to build relationships with peers, leaders, and clients. Candidates must demonstrate flexibility, creativity, independent work habits, and high proficiency in Excel and written/oral communication.
A bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, QS, or a related field is required, along with at least ten years of post‑degree experience in a related discipline. Backgrounds in pharmaceuticals, biotech, semiconductors, or contract manufacturing are considered a strong plus.
The salary range for this full‑time role is $104,600‑$139,466 per year, with compensation determined by experience, geography, and client exposure.
