Landscape Lead

• Landscape Management: Oversee all landscape activities including irrigation, sod installation, planting, and supplemental materials to ensure high-quality results.
• Lot Cleanup: Manage rough grading, final grading, rock installation, and cleanup during construction and home closings.
• Pathway Preparation: Grade rock and gravel drop for pathways, parking areas, and other designated surfaces.
• Material Procurement: Source, pick up, and coordinate delivery of all landscape materials in a timely manner.
• Subcontractor Coordination: Work closely with landscape subcontractors to ensure proper installation and timely completion of tasks.
• Equipment Operation: Safely drive and operate skid-steers, front-end loaders, trucks, tractors, ditch-witches, and landscaping dump trucks.
• Construction Support: Assist vertical construction activities as needed to support overall project progress.
• Landscape Maintenance: Replace landscape items as needed to maintain aesthetic and functional standards.
• Site Grading: Perform & supervise final grading of dirt work around lots, entries, & community spaces.
• Manual Labor: Perform hands-on labor to support landscaping operations when required.

Must follow all personal protective equipment and safety requirements.

JIA Communities is seeking a Landscape Lead to join our growing team. The Landscape Lead will oversee and execute all landscape activities across our residential and community developments, ensuring that projects are completed to the highest standards of quality, functionality, and appearance. This role requires hands-on expertise in grading, planting, and site preparation, as well as strong coordination and leadership in managing landscape subcontractors and material procurement. The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable operating heavy equipment, performing manual labor, and collaborating with construction teams to deliver exceptional outdoor environments that enhance the overall community experience.

• Skilled in coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, and site personnel to achieve project timelines and milestones.
• Valid Driver’s License
• Ability to safely operate skid-steers, loaders, tractors, ditch-witches, dump trucks, and other landscape equipment.
• Strong attention to detail to monitor landscape work and ensure compliance with project specifications and standards.
• Physical Capability: Willingness and ability to perform manual labor, including lifting, grading, and installation tasks, when required. Ability to lift 50 pounds is required.
• 3+ years’ experience in landscape management with preference towards irrigation, sod installation, planting materials, and grading practices.
• Communication: Strong interpersonal skills to serve as a clear point of contact for subcontractors, suppliers, and team members. Preference is bi-lingual English / Spanish.
• Material Procurement: Proficiency in sourcing, transporting, and managing landscape materials to support project needs.

8:00 to 4:30 Monday to Friday plus additional as required.
