Senior Interior Designer (Hospitality)

Description

• Ensure Company rules & procedures are followed in accordance with the Employee Handbook
• Identify and manage resources require for the project and constantly review and feedback to Design Principal/Design Director or the manager in charge
• Ensure full use of the filing system and databases
• Assist and work together as part of a team, creating and maintaining a harmonious work environment. Be readily available always to deal with problems or concerns
• Mentoring other designers on technical, operational, cost suitability and design detailing
• Considering materials and costs according to set budgets and reviewing quotes from suppliers
• Surveying buildings
• Conducting feasibility studies for projects
• Lead by example and ensure the team are providing a professional level of service and consistently exhibiting Kristina Zanic Consultants Service Standard and Values
• Developing creative ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with clients (the brief) and setting project schedules
• Independent drawing and specification documentation packages review for technical, operational, cost suitability and design for projects run by other designers
• Producing 'sample' or 'mood' boards for presentation to clients
• Preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, often using computer-aided design (CAD) or relevant software
• Sourcing products, for example fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration items, and providing samples for clients; this will include obtaining costs for all items and coordinating budgets
• Lead the project team and work in a team with other designers in all phases, from start to completion, of projects undertake.
• Supervising work at the design stage and on-site
• Working closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs and work schedules on projects where required. Working with architects and other design professionals to determine the best use of space, and with manufacturers and contractors when required in a specific phase
• Be responsible for ensuring that a professional, neat and tidy appearance is always portrayed, including leading by example through maintaining high standards of morale and appearance
• Understanding individual clients' needs and the needs of the people using the space, developing design concepts in consultation with the client and establishing final briefs

Requirements

We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to join our hospitality team in Central London and take the lead on high-profile projects. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative and detail-driven designer with a passion for luxury interiors and a strong knowledge of global suppliers, materials, and design trends.

• An understanding of financial management and wider management principles and techniques
• A proven record of success in a senior interior designer level
• A wide knowledge of the design industry
• At least 10 years’ senior level experience of management of people and resources
• Excellent leadership, communication, organizational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Minimum Bachelor's Degree in in Interior Design or Architecture
• Be punctual and on time to commence work
• Coordinating with Suppliers and having a knowledgeable grasp of technical details and requirements
• Able to handle situations with an appreciation of the demands of conflicting interests and of meeting both project and statutory requirements
• Presentation skills
