May assist in troubleshooting tool/process issues and suggest system improvements to achieve performance goals.

Required to use hands to grasp, lift, handle, carry or feel objects on a frequent basis.
Support DE tests in the Research and Development line with a focus on wet processes and roll coatings in the CHT area.

Ability to perform sample testing, semiconductor device fabrication and/or electrical or optical measurements.
Ability to troubleshoot basic to moderate process and equipment issues on the production line or in the lab.
Intermediate knowledge in MS Office and some knowledge of SQL/JMP.
Use understanding of engineering & tech skills to interpret instructions into actions and experimental outcomes.
Ability to wear personal protective equipment is required (including, but not limited to: steel-toed shoes, cut-resistant gloves, jackets, aprons &/or arm guards, safety glasses or goggles, hearing protection & respirators) and a condition of employment and continued employment (may require little or no facial hair).
May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis.
Expert in execution of experiments in the wet roll coating process. May train others.
Ability to communicate on a regular basis with all levels of associates.
Will lift up to 58 pounds on an occasional basis, according to work instruction.
Bachelor’s Degree in engineering discipline or similar technical discipline, without prior technical work experience.
Duties and tasks are frequently non-routine. Able to resolve many questions and problems independently.
20/40 vision in both eyes (with or without correction) and the ability to distinguish between red, yellow, and green is required.
Will lift up to 37 pounds on a frequent basis.
High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years of relevant technical experience or 2 years of experience as a Development Engineer Technician I at First Solar.
Ability to prepare and submit liquid or solid samples to internal laboratories for quality assurance
Associate’s Degree in an engineering discipline or similar technical discipline and 3 years of relevant technical experience or 2 years of experience as a Development Engineer Technician I at First Solar.
Will climb stairs or steps on a frequent basis.
Basic knowledge of chemistry with the ability to follow instructions for making chemical solutions
