Conduct basic calculations and performs other duties of a similar nature and level as assigned and under the supervision of a project engineer.
May perform field work related to pilot and/or construction related activities.
Assist in creation of hydrologic and hydraulic modeling and accompanying geospatial data.
Assists in supporting the civil team in providing support services during construction that can include submittal reviews, responses to requests for information and contract document clarifications.
Assist team in preparing civil designs, drawings, specifications, presentations and reports.

Basic experience in Microsoft Office, as well as relevant discipline software programs, which may include AutoCAD Civil3D, GIS, HECRAS, MicroStation/OpenRoads, PCSWMM, XPSWMM, HydroCAD, (or other modeling software).
Ability to participate and collaborate in project team setting and to engage in creative and critical thought.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Education or experience with surface water resources, natural resources, soil science, or hydrogeology would be considered as assets.
EIT designation or the ability to take the EIT exam in the near future.
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
Use knowledge of general concepts of relevant civil engineering elements including system hydraulics, surveying and topographic mapping, geotechnical considerations, grading, utility investigations and analyses.
Ability to interpret sketches, engineering drawings, and other similar material.
Minimum of 0-2 years of experience. Previous Co-op/Internship experience preferred.
Understanding of civil engineering concepts and ability to effectively communicate ideas to others.
Possess a valid driver's license with a good driving record.
Basic understanding of general concepts of relevant areas of civil engineering design including gravity and pressure systems, geotechnical, survey, storm water/drainage design, road design, erosion and sediment control, and grading.
