Description

• Ordering and Issue of materials, PPE, consumables, etc.
• Responsible for the health, safety and welfare of all persons under your control.
• Maintain accurate records and ensure stock levels meet the demands of the project
• Issue and receive materials, tools, specialist plant, components, consumables, PPE and equipment
• Regularly review supply alternatives to ensure best value is always achieved
• Liaise with suppliers on the replacement/return of faulty/damaged stock
• Support the Project Team with development of a high-performance culture of one team
• To co-ordinate and manage plant & stock ensuring all administration procedures are followed, and ensuring accurate stock management.
• Management of the calibration of tools & equipment (inc Lifting)
• Support the smooth day-to-day operation of the site Stores and Yard
• Liaise with operational Staff to ensure materials required for site are arranged and accessible in line with operational extended hours working
• Deliver timely reports on inventory, including early alerts for limited or critical stock
• Check deliveries against advice notes and for quality, quantities & damage.
• Hiring, acceptance and off hiring of plant and equipment.
• Catalogue stock effectively, ensuring correct segregation and grouping of materials
• Uphold safety and quality standards across all store-related activities
• Cooperate with BB in all matters pertaining to Health and Safety to enable the Company to carry out and enhance its legal duties and requirements.
• Bring to the attention of your manager any perceived shortcomings in health and safety arrangements or situations that you consider to be serious or imminent danger to yourself or others.
• Ensuring yard(s) and store is tidy at all times.
• Take reasonable care for the health and safety of yourself and of others who may be affected by your actions or omissions whilst at work.
• Work collaboratively with Senior Project Managers, Project Managers, Project Engineers, Operational Staff and Support Functions
• Coordinate the safe disposal of redundant or waste items in line with regulations
• Drive yourself and others to comply with all business policies, procedures and governance
• Unload & load delivery vehicles.
• Do not recklessly interfere with or misuse anything provided in the interests of health, safety and welfare.
• Security of yard ensuring access is only permitted to authorised personnel.

Requirements

• IT Skills – MS Outlook, MSP & MS Word, Excel
• Do not undertake any safety critical work activity or activity for which a specific competence is required, unless you have received the necessary training/instruction and/or assessment and hold the appropriate Certificate of Competence/Authority to Work. Do not instruct others to undertake such work if they do not hold the appropriate Certificate of Competence/Authority to Work.
• Flexibility – Willing to travel and work across the UK
• Ability to work in a team
• Talk positively and listen actively across the business and the people within it
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Lifting and lowering
• Able to undertake work in high pressure situations
• Experience of working on a variety of construction project types.
• Knowledge of the Power industry (is an advantage)
• Full clean driving licence
• Valid Telehandler licence
• Hand tools
