Foreman

Description

In this role you will oversee portions of larger construction projects, including pipe fusion and installation, extraction well drilling, construction of blower and flare station components, and installation of pumps and sumps. You will also assist in drilling operations, handle materials such as bentonite and gravel, and work in confined spaces to install gas, leachate and condensate piping.

You will operate heavy machinery such as rough‑terrain forklifts, excavators and backhoes, manage material inventory, review time‑cards and expense reports, and enforce health and safety requirements while maintaining daily project logs. Additional duties include tracking equipment, performing field sampling and data analysis, adjusting gas flow rates, and reporting findings to supervisors or clients.

• Oversee pipe fusion/installation, well drilling, blower/flare station construction, and pump/sump installation.
• Assist in drilling operations and material handling, including bentonite and gravel placement.
• Enter excavations, manholes, and confined spaces to install and repair gas, leachate, and condensate piping.
• Operate power saws, drills, and heavy machinery (forklift, excavator, backhoe) for excavation and equipment movement.
• Apply glues and primers to pipe systems for repairs and connections.
• Manage material receipt, inventory, receiving reports, and review crew time and expense reports.
• Implement health and safety protocols, generate documentation, and participate in the SAFE process.
• Maintain daily project and field logs, track equipment, and coordinate rental returns.
• Perform field sampling, data recording and analysis, adjust gas flow rates, and operate analytical equipment.
• Provide reports and recommendations to supervisors and clients based on field conditions.

Requirements

The position requires a minimum of five years of relevant experience, prior oversight as a foreman or senior field technician, ability to travel 100% of the time, comprehensive knowledge of excavation and pipe‑installation practices, and a valid driver’s license with a clean record. Pay ranges from $31 to $36 per hour.

• Minimum five years of related experience with prior foreman or senior field technician oversight.
• Ability to travel nationwide 100% of the time and read plans/specifications.
• Complete OSHA 40‑hour Health & Safety, 8‑hour Management/Supervisor, Confined Space Entry, and Trenching Excavation training.
• Meet physical requirements for driving, lifting up to 50 lb, hand excavation, ladder use, and operating electric tools in various weather conditions.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.
