Preconstruction Manager

Description

• Review, interpret, and assist with negotiations of contract documents to determine contractual obligations, including governmental regulations, company contracting guidelines, and other contracting requirements with necessary stakeholders
• Ensure contract compliance by developing compliance trackers for delivery to the execution teams.
• Support pre-construction team in assisting the legal team on all issues arising during the process of drafting. negotiating, and managing full wrap engineering, procurement, and construction contracts
• Review contracts for accuracy
• Drive contract execution process by managing internal and external workflows,facilitating meetings, updating progress, and providing efficiency to the process
• Compile contracts. track document and exhibit revisions, and other related document management tasks
• Assist with updating contract templates
• Carry Weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 10 pounds
• Assist with establishing internal processes for the management of contracts between the Legal and the E&C teams
• Coordinate with legal and E&C commercial teams to ensure all comments are

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant certificate from college or technical school.
• The ability to prioritize multiple and simultaneous projects, issues, and activities
• Background in commercial construction, equipment supply, and/or engineering
• Self-motivated, superior organization skills and attention to detail
• Regular attendance, in accordance with company's attendance policy and supervisory assignment, is an essential job duty requirement for this position
• Stationary Position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day
• Travel up to 20% as needed.
• Advanced knowledge in Microsoft office Suite, Smartsheetand Procore
• Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
• Strong oral and written communication skills, computer fluency. agile and effective negotiator with clear oral and written explanations required
• Noise level ranges from moderate to high (if on construction worksite)
• 3+years relevant experience (Construction. energy industry preferred)
• Travel: up to 25% as needed
• Strong understanding of legal terminology and processes

• Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far
• Work experience in construction-related contracts (solar PV and BESS projects In particular) strongly preferred
