The Senior Governance and GIPA Officer ensures that Council’s internal compliance and governance processes run efficiently. The role oversees delegations, legislative compliance, GIPA and privacy responsibilities, and delivers major governance‑related projects while leading a team of Governance and GIPA Officers.
The successful candidate will have at least five years of governance management experience in local government or an equivalent setting, a relevant degree or comparable experience, and deep knowledge of the Government Information (Public Access) Act 2009. Strong communication skills, the ability to interpret legislative impacts, and proven expertise in managing delegations, policies and reporting are essential.
