Tank Builder/ Welder (Nationwide)

Description

• Perform arc and torch cutting and gouging.
• Operate generators, compressors, tuggers, blowers, grinders, and other power/air tools.
• Work with tank shell buggies, scaffolding, ladders, and specialty equipment.
• Conduct vacuum box, oil, dye penetrant, and other non‑destructive tests.
• Utilize gas monitors, respirators, fresh‑air kits, emergency rescue kits and safety gear.
• Operate forklifts, man lifts, boom lifts, and large lifting equipment.
• Plan fitting, welding, repair, and construction sequences and methods.
• Complete job safety analyses, safety audits, site‑specific and other safety training.
• Follow directions and work professionally with crew members.

Requirements

• Weld plates using 7018, 7024, 6010 SMAW, FCAW, and submerged arc automatic machines.
• Use come‑alongs, hydraulic jacks, hoists, air bags, winches, and other lifting equipment.
• Apply crane rigging and signaling knowledge.
• Read detailed erection and fabrication drawings.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to solve problems and suggest system improvements.
• Excellent attendance and punctuality.
• Minimum age 18.
• Ability to lift 50 lb.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Eligibility to work in the United States and pass background checks.
• No convictions for dishonesty, sexual misconduct, violence, or terrorism.
• Valid driver’s license and motor‑vehicle record check.
• Consent to pre‑hire, random, and post‑incident drug/alcohol testing.
• Welding ability is a plus.
