Foot Mobile Engineer

Description

The Multi‑skilled Maintenance Engineer (M&E) – Foot Mobile role is a building service engineer position covering mobile sites in central London (Zones 1‑2) with core hours Monday‑Friday 8:00‑17:00. The engineer will be responsible for planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repair of mechanical and electrical equipment in a walking, mobile capacity.

The job combines maintenance operations, quality and safety compliance, and operational support. Responsibilities include maintaining workmanship standards, following JLL’s QA and health‑safety procedures, keeping accurate site records, inspecting services, working at height with appropriate PPE, and supporting the contract with a proactive attitude.

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance as instructed by the Portfolio Supervisor
• Perform full mechanical and electrical planned preventative maintenance and reactive works
• Close and update completed PPM tasks in the site CMMS
• Maintain workmanship standards to maximise building operation, effectiveness, and reliability
• Assist specialist subcontractors with PPM and reactive works
• Ensure JLL's QA and site procedures are followed
• Follow site and JLL Health & Safety procedures at all times
• Comply with JLL Health, Safety and Environmental procedures per site plans
• Maintain accurate site records and documentation for all works
• Inspect service conditions and proactively address callouts/repairs as required
• Perform tasks at height using platforms and ladders with appropriate PPE
• Keep all JLL‑issued tools safe and serviceable

Requirements

Candidates need technical experience in HVAC environments, familiarity with equipment such as air handling units and fan coil units, and qualifications like City & Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services plus IPAF and PASMA certifications. Proficiency with Excel and MS Office is required, and the role is based remotely in London.

• Experience with HVAC equipment including Air Handling Units, 4‑pipe fan coil units, emergency lighting, L8 requirements, fire alarm testing, lighting systems, plumbing, BMS, and record keeping
• Hold City & Guilds/NVQ in Mechanical, Electrical or Building Services and certifications such as IPAF and PASMA
• Proficient with Excel and MS Office
