Associate Director - Delay

As a senior member of our team, you will take ownership of client relationships and oversee their day-to-day needs.

You will work on a diverse range of commissions, either based in Rimkus’s office or on-site with clients. Your role will span project advisory, claims consulting, and expert services. You will have the opportunity to support our Experts in drafting independent reports, prepare claims for contractors, and provide planning, scheduling, and project controls to our clients.

• Ensure clients' tender and contractual requirements are understood and met, particularly in project planning, resource allocation, and progress reporting.
• Prepare technical reports and support Experts in drafting expert reports.
• Mentor and guide junior team members to deliver high quality deliverables.
• Prepare EOT claims in accordance with NZ contract requirements.
• Support the Regional Business Development Plan by identifying new business opportunities with existing and prospective clients.
• Assessment of submitted EOT claims on active projects.
• Identify and apply appropriate methodologies for claim assessments.
• Provide planning leadership to clients, offering direction on tenders and contracts.
• Collaborate with client finance teams to ensure accurate cost reporting and compliance with financial policies.
• Manage and contribute technical expertise to the preparation, implementation, and presentation of complex and sensitive planning projects.
• Provide strategic recommendations to clients and assist Technical Directors / Experts on larger matters.
• Develop and lead planning and design strategies to enhance existing commissions.

Rimkus is expanding its Asia-Pacific operations and is seeking to appoint an Associate Director – Delay within our Singapore Team . This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Planner or Delay Analyst looking to advance their career within a claim’s consultancy.

• Proficiency in project management software such as Microsoft Project, Primavera P6, or similar tools
• Excellent writing skills with the ability to draft large sections of professional reports
• Experience working on contentious disputes is highly regarded, especially arbitration and/or other formal dispute resolution experience
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, project management, construction management or a related field
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience
• Studying towards a professional accreditation with CIArb is preferred
• Minimum of 10 years post graduate experience working for a construction or engineering contractor or specialist claims consultancy. Project delivery experience is essential.
