Commercial Manager - Main Contractor - Dublin

We’re hiring a Commercial for a reputable Main Building Contractor operating in West Dublin . You’ll be responsible for overseeing the commercial performance across multiple live projects or a flagship scheme, managing a small team of QSs, and reporting directly to the Commercial Manager or Director.

• Lead a team of Quantity Surveyors across one or more projects.
• Implement cost-control strategies and ensure project profitability.
• Mentor and support junior and intermediate QS team members.
• Manage valuations, variations, and cashflow forecasting with strong reporting to senior management.
• Liaise with clients, project teams, and subcontractors to ensure commercial clarity and efficient contract management.
• Oversee tendering and procurement processes in collaboration with estimating teams.
• Take full commercial ownership of assigned projects from pre-construction to final account.

• Proven track record managing budgets, subcontractors, and contractual obligations on medium-to-large projects.
• Strong negotiation and analytical skills.
• Degree-qualified in Quantity Surveying or Construction Economics.
• 12+ years’ experience in quantity surveying, with recent experience in a main contractor environment.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and lead a team effectively.
