The Instrumentation & Electrical (I&E) Operations Technician Sr. joins a safety‑focused team to maximize equipment reliability and availability. Required education is a high school diploma or GED with at least three years of experience in operations, engineering, or the energy industry. Preferred candidates hold an associate or two‑year technical degree and have five or more years of relevant experience.
Work conditions involve extreme temperatures, loud noise, enclosed spaces, and the need to lift or carry up to 50 lb (team lifts for heavier loads). Employees must be able to stand, walk, climb, bend and work at elevated levels using appropriate personal protective equipment.
The position requires flexibility for after‑hours, on‑call rotations, night, weekend, and holiday shifts, as well as occasional overtime and travel between Williams locations with overnight stays. Sample rotating shifts include weekend 7 pm‑7 am or 7 am‑7 pm schedules and weekday variations.
A valid state driver’s license with a clean record is mandatory. Candidates should demonstrate aptitude for technology, strong organizational and interpersonal skills, basic Microsoft Office proficiency, and prior experience in gas‑plant operations, compression, or related mechanical/electrical maintenance.
