Service Professionals are responsible for hands‑on customer care: they troubleshoot, service, inspect, install, and repair industrial equipment of all shapes and sizes. They must keep accurate work orders on paper and digitally, operate a vehicle to visit multiple customer sites, and uphold safety and OSHA compliance standards.
Dock & Door Technicians, called Service Professionals, are the core of Miner’s preventative and emergency response services. They work on‑the‑road troubleshooting complex issues in settings such as commercial buildings, aircraft hangars, schools, and fire or police departments. The role offers a high degree of autonomy, variety, and direct exposure to the inner workings of major North American operations.
Miner offers four progressive Service Professional levels—Apprentice (Level I), Service Professional (Level II), Senior (Level III), and Expert (Level IV)—so technicians can start where their current skills align and advance as they gain experience and expertise in dock and door systems.
Qualified candidates have 2‑4 years of relevant experience, a strong mechanical aptitude for repairing doors, loading docks, and dock‑levelers, and a desire to learn welding, steel fabrication, and electrical work. They must be able to work independently on the road, communicate effectively, solve problems analytically, and hold a clean driving record with a valid driver’s license. Technical school training and OEM certifications are desirable, and flexibility to work nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime is required.
Service Professionals enjoy competitive pay with quarterly bonus incentives, a uniform and boot allowance, ongoing training and growth opportunities, and a company‑issued truck that can be taken home. The role also provides autonomy, competitive PTO and paid holidays, and a full benefits package from day one that includes medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and more.
The salary range shown reflects Miner’s good‑faith minimum and maximum for this role; actual compensation will depend on experience, qualifications, and geographic location, with potential for additional incentive pay.
