Description

• Obtain and maintain a thorough understanding of business operations, financial systems, and the general ledger structure.
• Ensure complete, accurate, and timely processing of all accounting transactions daily in the General Ledger.
• Prepare and enter journal entries.
• Investigate and recommend resolutions for account discrepancies.
• Perform month‑end close activities, including journal entries, balance‑sheet reconciliations, trial balance, and financial statement analysis.
• Review and reconcile all financial data during month‑end close.
• Provide full support to Accounting team members, including AR, AP, Treasury, Payroll, and other functions.
• Proactively participate in projects aimed at process improvement and efficiencies.
• Interact with operational groups to ensure transactions are correctly reflected in financial statements.
• Conduct and support ad hoc finance and accounting requests and assignments.
• Prioritize tasks, work independently, and support a collaborative accounting team.

Requirements

The position is a full-time accounting role located at EDS APX in Apex, NC. It requires a four-year degree and involves no travel. The role falls under the Accounting job category.

Candidates should have 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or related specialty trades, and hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance. Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills are essential, along with advanced Excel proficiency and familiarity with ERP systems such as NetSuite.

• Possess 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in construction or specialty trade industries such as waterproofing, concrete, or restoration.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Maintain strong Excel skills.
• Have experience with job costing, work‑in‑process (WIP), and construction financial reporting (preferred).
• Bring NetSuite experience (a plus).
• Communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
