To provide leadership, support and take ownership of the data centre maintenance team; to coach and develop team members; to maintain effective support across the business in the provision of all Dalkia’s services; to maintain technical consistency, operational and technological advancements and growth across Dalkia’s offerings; to implement the strategy for the maintenance team in line with business objectives.

  • Own, monitor and manage PPM and reactive maintenance tasks (requests, incidents, changes, problems and project-related work) and ensure they are appropriately owned and communicated to our Client.
  • Maintain and conduct effective quarterly and annual performance reviews with team members in line with the HR strategy.
  • Responsible for the development and implementation of all processes and procedures relating to working practices within the data centres, in accordance with our existing ISO and Health and Safety policies
  • To develop individuals to achieve the required accreditations and standards.
  • Lead, coach and support team members within the function.
  • Monitor and manage the permit-to-work-based process for work at the Data Centre
  • To act as the escalation point for data centre maintenance-related enquiries and co-ordinate resolution and communication.
  • Effectively manage team members from entry to exit.
  • To ensure excellent customer service is demonstrated and embedded within the team.
  • Identify, monitor and maintain resources required within the data centre maintenance team.
  • Manage, monitor and review the systems, processes and tools required within the function to enable an efficient and consistent service in conjunction with the Dalkia Account Manager and Site Supervisors.
  • Work with senior management to propose, agree and deliver ongoing design, development and planning for further development and improvements of the data centre
  • Responsible for producing small works quotations for associated reactive maintenance work
  • To manage the building M&E infrastructure including, Physical security, Power management, Air conditioning/cooling, Fire detection/suppression and the Building Management System (BMS)
  • To ensure the necessary processes and procedures exist for PPM and reactive maintenance are best practices within the data centre environment
  • Maintain good practice within the function and lead improvements within the function in terms of services, systems, processes and tools.
  • To maintain the integrity of our Clients Data Centre in Hayes
  • Accountable for resolving incidents relating to the M&E infrastructure to ensure the integrity of systems within the Data Centre for both Dalkia and our Client
  • Responsible for arranging the decommissioning of redundant mechanical and electrical systems as deemed necessary by the Client
  • Ensure the implementation of best practices and compliance with internal procedures, routines and protocol including security, safety and regulatory.
  • Work with senior management to propose, agree and deliver best practices within the data centres
  • To liaise and co-operate with management in achieving the organisational goals.
  • Maintain continuous professional development (Plus functional/technical skills)
