- Assist lead biologist with wetland, plant, wildlife, protected upland, intertidal and nearshore marine surveys.
- Process field data, generate ecological assessment reports, and operate tablets and GPS equipment.
- Coordinate with governmental agencies on survey protocols, reporting standards, endangered species, and NEPA compliance.
- Identify potential environmental impacts through review of engineering plans, aerial imagery, field data, and GIS databases.
- Conduct visual inspections of drainage facilities and support stormwater assessments.
- Prepare permit applications, NEPA documents, and other technical materials.

- Hold a bachelor’s degree in environmental science, ecology, biology, or a related field.
- Maintain a valid U.S. driver’s license, reliable transportation, and U.S. citizenship; pass motor vehicle records check.
- Demonstrate field‑work capability, including overnight travel and work in challenging outdoor conditions.
- Experience collecting field data, researching, and drafting technical reports.
- Knowledge of federal and state environmental regulations (Clean Water Act, ESA, NEPA).
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and data‑collection tools such as iPads, Android tablets, and Trimble GPS units.
- Skilled in GIS using ESRI ArcGIS (ArcMap/ArcPro) for analysis and map creation.
- Strong verbal, written, and technical communication abilities.
- Completed safety training such as CPR certification or OSHA HAZWOPER.
