Collate information about potential hazards and assist senior building managers and project managers in implementing corrective actions
Support management and contractors with respect to prevention of incidents and management of corrective actions following incidents and WHS principal contractor audits.

Assist and support personnel in developments, property services, building services, data centres and operations to manage safety issues, attending site where necessary to observe and inspect with other stakeholders
Proactively manage and support the investigation of incidents, and near misses. Ensure accurate documentation and help in the implementation of corrective actions. Categorise and see through to completion all corrective actions arising from incident and hazard reporting.
Engage with external consultants to identify risks with respect to environmental matters and hazardous materials and implement processes to manage those risks.
Support management in dealing with critical events that arise with respect to safety, environment, and hazardous materials across the Goodman portfolio and management of associated corrective actions and engage with external consultants where necessary.
Assist the Legal Team in collating data on safety performance metrics, trending and reporting
Promote safety awareness across the company and support Managing Counsel, Property and Risk to lead and foster a proactive safety culture across the company.
Collaborate with external safety consultants where required for training, inspections and general advice
Assist the developments business unit by proactively engaging with builders and contractors to promote a strong safety culture and enforce compliance with safety standards across all development projects
Arrange for external consultants to provide training to business units with respect to environmental compliance and hazardous materials management, where necessary.
Assist the operational level of the organisation in complying with all relevant health and safety legislation, standards, and regulations
Assist the various business units (including the Legal Team) when they conduct risk assessments and safety audits and implement resulting process changes and corrective actions.
Act as a trusted safety advisor to the business by demonstrating strong compliance, proactive engagement and leadership
Stay updated on WHS and environmental (“WHSE”) legislation, industry trends, and best practices
Adhere to the Safety Management System where it relates to operations and developments and assist the business to adopt it wherever required

Minimum of 3 years of experience in a WHS role or related field including in developments/construction
Understanding of risk management
Experience in Environmental compliance and hazardous materials management
A diploma in Work Health and Safety (WHS), Occupational Health and Safety (OHS), or a related field.
Familiarity with Australian WHS laws and regulations
Experience in property industry
Ability to collate data and prepare draft reports
