Determines the scope/extent of set up and coordinates activities and assigns technicians to mockups accordingly. Ensures that mockups are completed according to detailed installation drawings and on schedule. Pre-checks mockups with designers to ensure design understanding.
Negotiates scheduling and shipping details for mockup activities. Answers questions and resolves issues while ensuring that deadlines and quality standards are met. Work with dealers when necessary to obtain and schedule support personnel.
Support Field Services and facilities with product installations, recalls, and repairs.
Reports issues regarding quality, product design and layout design problems encountered during installation work. Communicates this information to appropriate parties, using the Laser process.
Monitors performance of dealer installers and provides guidance and coaching to installers and provides feedback to dealer lead installers.
Provide product installation training to dealer teams virtually and/or in person.
Support product development projects.
Must be able to lead and motivate technicians and temporary work force to accomplish mockup installations correctly as well as any other projects that you may be supporting.

Ability to interpret installation plans, isometric drawings, understand blueprints, schematic drawings, color charts, assembly directions and service parts information
Organizational and planning skills applied to large, complex furniture installations.
Comfortable with up to 85% travel and can travel to other countries if required.
Experience in furniture installation with a strong understanding of industry standards and best practices
Requires the skill to use and maintain a variety of hand, power and mechanical tools.
Problem solving capabilities to identify root cause on installation and product quality issues. Ability to fix and repair previously installed product in the field.
Ability to determine the nature of product failures or improper applications. Be creative enough to effectively provide an onsite solution or gather all the details possible to share with others and help determine a solution.
Must be flexible and able to communicate tactfully, professionally and effectively with Steelcase personnel, dealers, and customers.
Be able to make travel arrangements and navigate all things related to traveling throughout North America and other countries as necessary.
Extensive knowledge of Steelcase products requiring continuous study of new products, product changes, advised installation methods, maintenance, and handling and safety procedures to ensure the work you do or how you train others is the correct way.
