Service Technician - Electrical

Description

The Service Technician – Electrical role, based at the Greater Noida depot, is responsible for operating and maintaining Aggreko’s modular fleets—including diesel and gas generators, load banks, chillers, AC units, and cooling towers—to optimise performance through preventive and condition‑based maintenance.

• Install and commission modular portable fleets (generators, chillers, load banks, cooling towers).
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on company‑owned equipment.
• Respond to on‑site service and breakdown calls, providing immediate corrective action.
• Monitor site performance, analyze equipment parameters, and liaise with operators for online or on‑site support.
• Ensure compliance with Aggreko servicing schedules, procedures, and Green Card readiness.
• Maintain accurate logbooks, breakdown analysis reports, and client‑approved work documentation.
• Uphold QHSE, ISO 9000, and 24‑hour call‑out policies, reporting incidents and fuel spills promptly.
• Conduct effective troubleshooting to minimise downtime and repair costs while ensuring quality workmanship.
• Keep service vehicle and work area tidy, and report competitor activity observed on customer sites.
• Communicate with clients to maintain strong relationships and ensure customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Candidates must hold a diploma or degree in electrical engineering, an electrical supervisor licence, and 3‑5 years of relevant experience with diesel engines, generators, HVAC equipment, and related control systems, along with strong troubleshooting, communication, and English skills.

• Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering with a government‑issued Electrical Supervisor licence.
• 3–5 years experience in diesel engine OEM, rental power, or utility maintenance working on DG sets, chillers, and related equipment.
• Hands‑on operation and maintenance of LHP/HHP diesel engines and familiarity with Cummins, Iveco, Scania, or Caterpillar generators.
• Proficiency with DEIF, Deepsea, or Carrel controllers and troubleshooting of Stamford/Leroy‑Sommer alternators.
• Ability to service and diagnose Siemens or Schneider switchgear, breakers, and synchronize generators.
• Knowledge of LV/HV transformer maintenance and HVAC systems (chillers, cooling towers, AHU).
• Basic understanding of AC & DC load banks and temperature control equipment.
• Strong troubleshooting skills, ability to read electrical drawings, and effective written and spoken English.
• Valid light‑vehicle driving licence for service‑vehicle operation.
