Concept and definitive 3D mechanical designof systems, system assemblies and complex components such as transmission casings, rotating components, gears, injection moulded components.
Solid understanding ofmechanical engineering principleswith ability to interpret FEA, CFD results and incorporate them in mechanical design.
Detailed mechanicaldesign work including basic stress calculations, FMEA’s, 2D detailing, 2D layouts, Tolerance stacks asrequired.
Solid understanding ofmanufacturing processes, and their impact on design, experience with DFMA.
Experience with PLM systems,Windchillpreferred.
Able to travel to support Ricardo’s worldwide client base.
Advanced capabilities inMicrosoft Office.
Broad range ofmechanical design knowledgespecializing in one of the following areas: Transmission, Hybridtransmissions, EDU’s.
Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to take on project roles such as Chief Designer or Chief Engineer as required by projects,ability to leadsmall- to mid-size project teams.
