The Pipeline Design Lead (Above Ground Pipelines) is responsible for the preparation, coordination and delivery of all process, piping and mechanical deliverables in the Drafting and Design Department for Above Ground Pipeline projects. These include General Arrangements, Alignment Sheets, Plan and Profile drawings, PFD’s, P&ID’s, Plot Plans, Isometrics and associated 3D models.
- Monitoring of project deliverables to ensure they are delivered on time and on budget.
- Leadership, mentorship and coordination of design personnel.
- Attend regular meetings with the Project Management Team.
- Input on schedules, man hour estimates and scope of work documents.
- Design layout of Pipeline systems and associated facilities.
- Lead internal and external 30/60/90 model reviews, participate in client meetings.
- Coordination of piping design and drafting activities for above ground pipeline projects.
- Support and development of global workshare initiatives.
- Provide direction, guidance and training to the design team on standards and procedures.
- Prepare 3D models using Hexagon CADWorx and Bentley AutoPLANT 3D software.
- Review of drawings and designs for accuracy, completeness and consistency.
- Prepare design drawings such as Alignment Sheets, Plan and Profile drawings, PFD’s, P&ID’s, Plot Plans, General Arrangements, Isometrics and MTOs.

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
