The role will collaborate closely with engineering teams and the Asset Information Working Group to uphold ABP’s engineering data‑governance practices and to standardise information as regional databases are consolidated into a single EAM system. By enforcing common data standards, the specialist will improve data quality, reduce re‑work in maintenance planning and enable confident, data‑driven decision‑making.
Initially the position will focus on master data entry, data quality governance and supporting the EAM implementation, including migration, cleansing and post‑go‑live support. Over time it will evolve into deeper data analysis, reporting and continual improvement of systems and processes while maintaining high standards of engineering information.
- Create, update and maintain engineering master data in the EAM system.
- Implement data quality controls and conduct ongoing data cleansing.
- Serve as data expert during EAM implementation and migrate legacy data.
- Identify and resolve data gaps or inconsistencies before go‑live.
- Develop and use data‑cleansing tools/templates to streamline large data sets.
- Provide post‑go‑live support to ensure smooth transition for engineering teams.
- Monitor data quality indicators via dashboards and regular reporting.
- Report on master data status, highlighting risks and issues to management.
- Apply a data‑governance mindset to maintain engineering data.

Our business is currently undergoing a digital transformation, moving from the Mainsaver CMMS to SAP. To support this change we are seeking a Master Data Specialist who will work within the central function on a permanent basis, leveraging experience with both systems.
The role is preferably based in the Humber region near Immingham or Hull, but flexibility is offered for placement at any major port location. Early project phases will involve significant travel to meet key stakeholders, with travel reducing as the implementation stabilises.

- Demonstrate strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Proficient in Excel, PowerBI and SQL for data manipulation and transformation.
- Experience in asset data management within an asset‑intensive industry.
- Communicate effectively and build constructive working relationships.
- Track record of managing asset data in accredited management systems (ideal).
- Experience with CMMS or ERP systems such as SAP (ideal).
