The Community Assistant handles leasing, marketing and resident relations for a property, ensuring prospect conversion, resident satisfaction and community upkeep.
- Attend the property site daily.
- Show, lease and move in prospective residents; greet, qualify, tour and sign leases.
- Conduct all sale‑closing activities: appointments, lead generation, tours, model‑unit upkeep and follow‑up.
- Complete leasing paperwork prior to move‑in.
- Assist with lease audits, unit walk‑throughs and turnover processes.
- Record prospect traffic and leasing data; respond to leads within 24 hours.
- Apply sales and marketing strategies to boost traffic, improve closing ratios and exceed leasing goals.
- Perform assorted administrative tasks.
- Address resident complaints, concerns and requests to ensure satisfaction.
- Develop and execute resident retention programs such as events, promotions and newsletters.
- Maintain cleanliness of office, common areas and model units.
- Support annual marketing plan implementation.
- Conduct ongoing market surveys and analysis to generate ideas and plans.
- Keep up‑to‑date product knowledge of the property, competition and market; submit weekly market reports.
- Deliver excellent customer service and monitor service‑request response times.
- Promote a positive community image to meet property objectives and gain public recognition.
- Ensure consistent handling of resident matters.
- Enforce community policies as delegated by the supervisor.

Applicants need a high school diploma or equivalent, basic computer skills and knowledge of Fair Housing and OSHA requirements. The role requires regular onsite attendance, standing, walking, occasional lifting up to 25 lb and other physical activities typical of property management. Compensation includes $16 per hour, a total‑rewards package with medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) matching, commissions, performance bonuses, paid sick days and holidays.
