Support Service Sales through participation in negotiations of major contracts to secure service orders volume.
Minimizes risk regarding quality and financial exposure by buying in accordance with quality and commercial procedures and in accordance with Company guidelines.
The GPG SCM Manager helps to develop a competent and technical sourcing team, to source and negotiate with suppliers to support the BU PGSV Service operations. These include vendors who support installation, retrofit, testing and commissioning of all major Hitachi Energy products and services, besides the Digital products and services deployed in conjunction with Hitachi Energy offerings.
Budget and performance targets: Contributes to and participates in setting and implementing budget and targets within the framework. Ensures the Category sourcing performance targets are achieved.
This Supply Chain Management (SCM) role at Hitachi Energy focuses on developing and implementing PGSV strategies to optimize costs, quality, delivery, and reliability of suppliers and products. The position involves negotiating contracts, managing supplier agreements, and ensuring compliance with company guidelines while contributing to a sustainable sourcing strategy.
Adopt, plan, and implement global service SCM strategy based on the Service GPG strategies and targets related to the entire service portfolio (lifecycle management, service products and solutions, and IB penetration). Lead the SCM teams and collaborate in delivery and exceeding targets in terms of orders, GM%, response time and customer satisfaction for the full-Service portfolio. Responsible for accurate costing support to Service Sales.
Stay updated on technological advancements and market trends to proactively identify opportunities for innovation and differentiation in service offerings to support the BUs vision (Horizon X-Y-Z).
This role helps seamless extension of all major Vendor Agreements of BUs (PGTR, PGHV and PGGI) to BU PGSV through Novations, renegotiations or extensions.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
The GPG SCM Manager is also responsible for setting up of all Inter Hitachi Energy company Agreements for contracting Services or purchase of spare parts.
Contracts: Adapts corporate contractual framework to the local business needs. Recommends frame agreements to management and executes upon approval. Provides ongoing oversight and contract management with suppliers.
Develop, plan and implement Supply Chain Management (SCM) strategy focused on optimizing costs, quality, delivery and reliability of suppliers and supplied products for an assigned category or group of categories. Ensure execution in accordance with Company, SCM and Supply Base Management instructions and procedures. Supports, for the assigned spend, a short and medium-term complaint, resilient and sustainable sourcing strategy to meet targets on total cost of ownership and supply performance. Negotiate contracts and service level agreements in line with factory expectations in order to deliver price, lead time, and Terms & Conditions information and control its usage in the local ERP systems. Define and Initiate projects to cut total cost of ownership and/or to mitigate risks.
Applies and implements SCM standards, tools, and processes focused on business continuity for the assigned commodity or group of commodities/categories.
Supplier agreements: Ensures identification, investigation, and selection of appropriate suppliers (focusing on quality, delivery, cost and sustainability) in accordance with Company policies. Defines and establishes local standard agreements with all major suppliers. Provides and maintains standard terms in purchase contracts/terms and conditions in line with Company directives and guidelines.
Collaborate closely with local stakeholders in countries and the account management organization to align strategies, implement best practices, and leverage synergies in Service Operations.
