Under the supervision of the Electrical Director, the Electrical Project Manager will lead the electrical portion of wind, solar, and battery energy storage projects across Canada and the United States, each with capacities of several hundred megawatts.
Key responsibilities include managing and participating in electrical engineering activities with consulting firms and clients, ensuring engineering, procurement, and manufacturing phases meet critical deadlines, and verifying that consultant deliverables satisfy client specifications, budgets, and transmission network standards. The role also involves purchasing major substation equipment, developing agreements with electrical subcontractors, attending project meetings, and providing on‑site support during construction.
The ideal candidate holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering—preferably power systems—or equivalent experience, brings more than ten years of HV substation and MV network construction expertise, and is familiar with connection processes of utilities such as Hydro‑Québec, Hydro‑One, and AESO. Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken, as well as a synthetic, analytical mind, meticulous attention to detail, and strong teamwork skills are essential. Occasional travel within Canada is also required.
