Familiarity with Asset management techniques, practices & policy.
Detailed knowledge of UK and International Technical Standards for electrical plant used in transmission applications (GIS, AIS Plant, FACTs Technologies, HVDC substations)
Computer literacy – e.g., Microsoft Office suite, SAP.
Substation equipment approval experience
Operational Experience – Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of transmission electrical plant
Knowledge of Electricity Power System design, operating philosophy and UK safety management practices
Degree/HND/HNC (or equivalent) in a relevant engineering discipline supported by experience working on (preferably Transmission) Electrical Power Systems with Technical and/or Operational responsibilities.
Availability to travel to other locations, including abroad, engaging with key stakeholders and suppliers
Excellent interpersonal, communication & negotiation skills - Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical & non-technical audiences, verbally and in writing.
