The Project Manager provides overall leadership and is responsible for the end‑to‑end execution of construction projects, from initiation through to completion. This includes creating a detailed project strategy, plan and schedule, and driving delivery to maximise outcomes for both client and business. The role also ensures compliance with all company safety requirements and actively manages and mitigates project risks.
Candidates must hold a relevant chartership such as CIOB and possess professional construction qualifications. Essential skills include obtaining the required security clearance, preparing short, medium and long‑term programmes, managing package risks, and communicating effectively with both technical and non‑technical audiences. A strong knowledge of current construction laws, regulations and industry standards is required, with a desirable understanding of different contract forms and programme sequencing.
Relevant experience includes delivering construction projects, managing multiple supply chains, and coordinating consultants to meet design and quality assurance targets. Experience in bid teams, pre‑construction planning, and design of temporary and permanent works (including BIM, BIW, CAD) is valued. The role also calls for flexibility, teamwork and a commitment to the Incident and Injury Free vision.
