In this position, the candidate will play a key role in providing complex and dynamic regulatory support and assistance with permitting (in various mine planning phases), mining and exploration project development, operational compliance, and compiling and submission of permit application packages. The role will require the candidate to work collaboratively with both internal and external resources and have the ability to manage client relationships effectively while upholding JDS core values. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast‑paced team to gain exposure on various mining and resource development projects across Canada.
JDS is seeking a motivated and experienced Senior Regulatory Specialist with a strong background in natural resource development to join our team and drive growth within the Environment and Reclamation division. The ideal candidate will have an education in engineering or environmental/biological science with focused experience in regulatory management and permitting requirements within the mining, construction, and/or environmental remediation sectors.
The work schedule will primarily be office based with a 40‑hour work week, with potential site visits and client meetings in various locations.
